Ilan Blatt (Israel) Co-Chair
Ilan Blatt is head of the Epilepsy and EEG Institute in the Sheba Medical Center, Tel-Hashomer, Israel, affiliated to the Tel-Aviv University.
He qualified in medicine from the Sackler School of Medicine in the Tel-Aviv University in 1983. He completed his residency in neurology in the Sheba Medical Center, Tel-Hashomer, Israel, affiliated to the Tel-Aviv University. He subsequently did a clinical fellowship in epilepsy and a clinical fellowship in electroencephalography in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centers, Pennsylvania, USA, in the years 1991-1993. Since then he has been a faculty member of the Department of Neurology at the Sheba Medical Center, and since 1997 deputy head of department and head of the Epilepsy and EEG Institute there.
He has been involved in teaching students, residents and other physicians in the Tel-Aviv University Sackler School of Medicine, and is currently in charge of the post-graduate course on epilepsy and EEG. His research interests include clinical epilepsy, epilepsy genetics and electroencephalography.
Currently he is a committee member of the Israeli chapter of the ILAE.
